World heritage Seute Deern

Seute Deern

The Seute Deern was built in 1919. With a total length of 75,5 meters, the Seute Deern is the largest wooden freight sailboat in the world that is still in its original condition.  Today the Seute Deern is owned by the German Sea freight Museum and belongs to the world cultural heritage.
Even though the Seute Deern does not go out to sea any more, it’s certainly not just an old item in a museum. Where exotic goods used to be transported, there are now several rooms decorated in marine style. In the former freight-, crew- and captains quarters, hungry guests are now served marine delicacies.

In 2008, in order to fit the kitchen with the newest technology, it was decided to use Eloma combi-steamers for cooking. A combi-mix station Genius 6-11 + 10-11 seemed like the optimal solution. Thanks to the 2 combisteamers, the kitchen staff can be flexible towards the number of guests. On normal days one unit would be sufficient to prepare the fresh á la carte meals. For larger functions both machines are used. The menu does not only include fish, so that meat-lovers and vegetarians are also big fans of this unique restaurant. Guests and chefs agree: with Eloma combi-steamers everything turns out perfect!
